Hideo Kojima leaves behind Iconic Game Studio

hard lime metal And the death strand Creator Hideo Kojima has revealed that he is moving from the current game studio. This does not mean that Kojima himself will be leaving Kojima Productions, which he founded in 2015, but instead that his company is moving its offices. And while this might not seem like a noteworthy move on its own, Kojima’s former office used to be one of the most famous offices in the video game industry.

Kojima himself took to Twitter this morning and announced that the office where Kojima Productions has been residing for an extended period of time will no longer be his studio home. “Today is the day we say goodbye to the entryway, Ludens corridor, and kitchen that has been our home for just over five years,” Kojima said on Twitter, along with a few photos of the now vacant office. “Many memories come to mind. Farewell.”

As mentioned earlier, the former home of Kojima Productions was probably one of the most recognizable workplaces in gaming. This was thanks to the “Ludens Hall” Kojima mentioned in his farewell tweet. This entry is one that Kojima has shared many photos of over the years, usually doing so when guests visit the studio. The hall featured an oversized statue of Ludens who served as Kojima Productions’ mascot and was also decorated with a number of flashing lights. Basically, the hall looked more like something out of a science fiction movie than a game development studio.

When it comes to what this move means for Kojima Productions in general, it’s hard to say. It’s clear that Kojima’s studio is still doing well for itself, especially since it just opened a new office in Los Angeles. As such, it makes sense that Kojima and his team in Japan can now only look forward to moving to a larger workplace while they work on the company’s next project. As for what this project could be, we still don’t know, although more information may eventually emerge in 2022.
